Hello everyone! On the start to a new 30 day challenge which started yesterday. Thank you for participating!

I always like to remind everyone of this point about the 30 day challenge :  "We want to help you create patterns of healthy living and strategies for adopting healthy lifestyle habits. Ultimately we focus more in the process of learning to be healthy and less on the outcomes. However, once you establish a routine and mind set of healthy living the outcomes naturally follow. Use this 30 day challenge as a kick start to get you on the  track to better health and a better life."

I recently listened to a health podcast where an interesting statement was made. paraphrasing " Personal health really is not a commodity.... I can't say to someone else ' I am healthy, let me sell you some of my health' "  The idea of health is often sold in the form of diets,meal plans, supplements, gym memberships, exercise clothing, Extreme DVD's, exercise equipment ,etc etc.

"The weight-loss sector’s been growing by about six per cent a year since the 1980s, according to U.S. market research, at the same time as obesity rates have climbed steadily in North America. It’s worth an estimated $7 billion a year in Canada, based on our smaller population and the $65 billion Americans spend each year trying to slim down.Diet industry expands right along with North America waistlines Postmedia News"

All these things may be a means to an end and may have some merits if used properly as tools or strategies . However, It is you that makes the effort and it is your personal choices that create the healthy person you want to be.....Remind yourself daily that deserve to be healthy and and the power is in you to make lifestyle choices that will benefit you in years to come.

We want to support you with some strategies that we find helpful. Keep positive and keep moving forward!
